Getting started

• Sign in with Apple, Google, or an email and password.
• Start a kitchen and give it a name, or join one with the six-letter code the owner shares from Settings.
• Take a note: tap the big button, say what happened, say "that's it" or tap Stop. Check the lines, pick the notebook, file it.

Things people ask

• It did not hear me. Marcus needs microphone and speech recognition permission. iOS Settings, Marcus, turn both on. Speech is recognised on the phone, so a poor connection does not matter for recording.
• The note was not sorted. Sorting needs a connection. Without one the note is sorted on the phone with simpler rules and marked as such; it is not lost.
• Home says nothing yet. The home screen is built from your notes. Take one or two and pull down to refresh.
• Someone cannot join. Codes are six characters, letters and digits, no O or I. Share it from Settings so it copies exactly.
• Wrong notebook. Open the note, Move, pick another. Notebooks can be nested; drag order in the Notes tab.
• I want my data out. Settings, Your data, Export every note. See Your data.
• I want my account gone. Settings, Delete my account. See Your data for what happens to notes.

Beta

Marcus is in public beta on TestFlight. Crashes and feedback sent from TestFlight reach us with the build number attached, which is the fastest way to get something fixed. Join the beta.

Status

If the app cannot reach its database it keeps working from the phone's copy and syncs when it can. If something is down for everyone we say so here.
